Community Assistance Recovery for Everyone (CARE), is a positive and collaborative effort between UMass Memorial Health – Harrington and the Southbridge Police Department. It offers sensitive, supportive care for people with a substance use disorder. The program is a resource for all community members.

Behavioral health assistance is available for anyone looking for help but unsure where to turn. It is important to note that you cannot be forced into treatment.

Open to Anyone in the Southbridge Area

If you live in the Southbridge-area community, you can go to the Southbridge Police Department (day or night) and request help for a substance use disorder. A staff member will call our Psychiatric Emergency Services team and initiate a visit from support staff. They will evaluate your condition and connect you with the appropriate services.
