Insurance Coverage and Financial Support

UMass Memorial Health accepts most major health insurances, including MassHealth.

MassHealth covers a broad range of family planning and reproductive health services, including postpartum care, abortions and emergency contraceptives, which continue to be legal and accessible in Massachusetts, all with no out-of-pocket costs. Learn more about MassHealth coverage.

Since 2023, all health plans that are delivered, issued, or renewed in Massachusetts are required to cover all abortion and abortion-related care when provided to persons covered under the insured health plan. Learn more about other Massachusetts health insurance coverage for these services.

If you are uninsured, or have limited health insurance coverage, our financial counselors are available to work with you. They can assist in determine eligibility for a MassHealth plan or the hospital's Financial Assistance program to help you get the care you need.
