Breast Cancer Services We Provide
At UMass Memorial, you’ll find the full scope of services for any person with a breast cancer concern or diagnosis.
Our breast cancer services include:
- Mammography and breast imaging: We offer nationally recognized imaging services, including routine mammograms. You also have access to advanced diagnostic studies to investigate the fine details of suspicious growths.
- High-risk breast cancer clinic: This clinic is for people facing a higher risk of breast cancer. Offerings include personalized risk assessments, genetic testing and ongoing follow-up evaluations.
- Breast surgery: We remove either a section of tissue or the entire breast. Surgeons use sophisticated techniques to preserve as much healthy tissue as possible. Care may also include a reconstructive procedure to restore full, natural-looking breasts.
- Chemotherapy and medical oncology: This breast cancer treatment uses medications and other substances to halt cancer cell growth. UMass Memorial is home to knowledgeable medical oncologists specializing in breast cancer who tailor services to your needs.
- Radiation therapy: Some patients need this treatment after surgery to remove trace levels of cancer. We use sophisticated technologies that deliver radiation to precisely the right spot, giving you the best chances for successful outcomes.
- Survivorship services: We help you get back into the swing of life after breast cancer treatment, with therapies to relieve ongoing symptoms. We also develop a personalized health maintenance plan to optimize your well-being for years to come.
