Our Teledermatology Services

Our teledermatology allows for provider-to-provider consultations. Your primary care provider (PCP) provides your medical history and photos to an off-site dermatologist. That dermatologist responds to your PCP with a short-term diagnosis and recommendation plan, which your provider can implement. This approach provides you with prompt care from a dermatology expert.

While teledermatology is a useful tool, not all dermatology services can be performed remotely. At UMass Memorial, we can:

  • Evaluate and diagnose some skin conditions
  • Evaluate the need for an in-person appointment
  • Offer consultation services to assist other providers
  • Deliver follow-up care
