Stroke Prevention Clinic

The Stroke Prevention Clinic at UMass Memorial Medical Center helps you identify risk factors of stroke if you are at risk or have had a stroke or intracranial hemorrhage. With education, we can help you reduce your risk of suffering a stroke.

An Additional Level of Care

Many primary care providers can manage a patient’s risk factors for stroke. In collaboration with your primary care provider, our specialists can provide you and your loved ones who might be at risk an extra level of support. We help reduce the risk of having a stroke by ensuring that you are on correct medications, and recommend additional diagnostic tests to identify other modifiable risk factors.  We also provide nutrition information and other lifestyle modification suggestions.

Stroke Research Helps Patients

As an academic Medical Center, we have expert researchers constantly working to advance the treatment of stroke through research. We invite you to participate in important clinical trials that are available through our clinic.
