Provider Recognition
At UMass Memorial Health, we value our caregivers! We know how hard you work to create a wonderful experience for our patients and deliver the highest-quality care. So, we do our best to make sure you know how much we appreciate you by holding events throughout the year to show our gratitude. In addition to the recognition programs mentioned below, we also offer numerous opportunities for professional development and grant awards to forward the important work of our providers.
Annual Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Awards
If you know an outstanding APP or APP team, here's your chance to give them some well-deserved recognition. The Advanced Practice (AP) Council seeks nominations for the annual Advanced Practice awards. Note: the submission deadline for the 2023 awards has passed.
Clinical Practice Recognition Award
This award honors an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN), Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) or Physician Assistant (PA) who demonstrates outstanding contributions in the clinical role.
Paulette Seymour-Route Exemplar Award

Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Appreciation Week
One week in September is dedicated to giving that to our APPs for all that they do to care for our patients and one another. During this week, our APPs are celebrated with various events, treats and gratitude. We love our APPs!
Caregiver Appreciation Week
Each year during hospital week in May, we celebrate all of our caregivers with a weeklong event filled with fun treats, great prize drawings, activities and our annual Caregiver Service Award celebration.
Doctors' Day
We are grateful for our amazing UMass Memorial Medical Group doctors each and every day. But every year surrounding Doctors’ Day on March 30, we show them a little extra love and gratitude with celebrations held in their honor!
