Why Choose Us for Bone Cancer and Sarcoma Care?

Team Approach

UMass Memorial is one of the few programs in Central Massachusetts and beyond using a multi-specialty approach. In addition to orthopedic oncologists, you benefit from the expertise of surgical oncologists, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists and other specialists. We communicate regularly to discuss your case and coordinate timely services that optimize healing.

Personalized Care

A bone cancer or sarcoma diagnosis comes with appointments for multiple specialists and frequent visits for various therapies. We coordinate the services you need to make this process less stressful. You may be able to see multiple specialists in a single visit. Our nurse navigator is available to answer your questions and support you throughout the process.

Rehabilitation Therapy

Depending on the size and location of the sarcoma, you may find once-simple movements challenging after treatment. Physical medicine doctors (physiatrists) and specially trained physical therapists coordinate services to optimize your abilities. Care may include exercises to help you regain strength or new methods for completing daily tasks. Explore rehabilitation therapy services
