Prostate Cancer Care: Why Choose Us?
Early Detection
Catching prostate cancer in its earliest stages leads to timely care that’s more likely to be successful. We use digital rectal exams and a special blood test (prostate-specific antigen or PSA) that detects the earliest signs of the disease. Experts explain the risks and benefits and then help you decide whether to pursue PSA testing.
Conservative Approach
Not all prostate cancers require immediate treatment. In some cases, small, early-stage cancers that have not spread to other areas do not progress. Others advance slowly and might not require prostatectomy for years. Instead, we may recommend ongoing monitoring to help us detect small changes that might signal the need for treatment.
Patient-Centered Care
A team of specialists comes together to deliver prostate cancer treatments and support, leading to a seamless experience. Urologists and genitourinary oncologists work alongside medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, pelvic imaging specialists and pathologists. Our nurse navigator provides additional services and coordination to make it easier to focus on healing.
