PET/CT Scan Services
A PET/CT scan captures detailed images of the body's internal structures and organ function by combining two studies in one scan:
- Positron emission tomography (PET) uses a small amount of radioactive substance (tracer) to identify areas of increased cell activity.
- Computed tomography (CT) uses X-rays and special technology to provide enhanced views of the area of concern.
We offer standard PET/CT scans and advanced options, such as:
- Amyloid PET/CT scans, which detect amyloid plaque (protein deposits in the brain). This is helpful in caring for Alzheimer’s Disease.
- Prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA) PET/CT, which detects early-stage prostate cancer
