Vitiligo Clinic and Research Center

Vitiligo is an autoimmune disease of the skin that causes white spots. The Vitiligo Clinic includes eight committed faculty and staff members, all who are dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of patients with vitiligo. The team includes medical dermatologists and a nurse practitioner, who prescribe medical treatments such as phototherapy, topical creams and oral treatments; procedural dermatologists, who provide an innovative surgical treatment for vitiligo patients called  melanocyte-keratinocyte transplantation (MKTP), which is offered at only a small number of locations around the world; a patient coordinator, who schedules and coordinates patient visits; a nurse educator, who teaches patients about treatments and guides them through phototherapy in the office and at home;  and a medical assistant, who collects information about treatment progress and assists our patients during their visit.

The team works in partnership with each patient during the clinic visit to develop an individualized treatment strategy according to the patient’s specific needs and goals. Patients visit the Vitiligo Clinic from all over the world, and to make visits easier for our patients we now offer video consultations.

In addition to excellent clinical care, the center includes a research laboratory committed to developing better treatments for patients with vitiligo. We seamlessly combine basic, translational and clinical research strategies for this purpose. We recruit many of our clinic patients for these important studies and are thankful to the hundreds of those who have contributed in this way to our work. We conduct clinical trials to test new treatments for vitiligo and discuss all opportunities with our patients in the clinic.
