Pelvic Health and Urogynecology

Urogynecology is a specialty of obstetrics and gynecology dedicated to treating pelvic floor dysfunction. Pelvic floor dysfunction occurs when the muscles regulating urination and bowel movements do not work as expected. 

Urogynecologists also care for pelvic organ prolapse, when pelvic organs (including the vagina, bladder and uterus) slip out of their natural position.

• Feeling a bulge near the vaginal opening
• Seeing tissue coming out of your vagina
• Having a sensation of fullness, pulling or aching in your vagina
