Lymphoma is a type of cancer that starts in the lymphocytes, which are cells in the lymphatic system. The lymphatic systems is part of your immune system and helps rid the body of waste. Once in the lymph nodes, the cancer can spread to any part of the body, including your organs and blood marrow. While some forms of this disease are more aggressive than others, some lymphoma patients may have a better chance at going into remission with the proper treatment.
