Cholinesterase (Blood)

This test looks for toxic chemicals in your blood. These chemicals are most often found in insecticides, either those used in fields or those used in bug sprays.

Cholesterol

This test measures the amount of cholesterol in your blood to help determine your risk for heart disease.

This test measures the amount of chloride in your urine. Knowing your chloride level is useful if you have a condition called metabolic alkalosis.

Catecholamines (Blood)

This test measures the levels of catecholamines in your blood. The catecholamine hormones are adrenaline (epinephrine), norepinephrine, and dopamine.

Total and Free Carnitine

This test measures the amount of a substance called carnitine in your blood. Carnitine makes it possible for your body to digest fatty acids.

Cardiolipin Antibody

This test helps your healthcare provider diagnose clotting disorders and autoimmune diseases. It measures the concentration of antibodies related to a fat molecule in your blood.

Cardiac Biomarkers (Blood)

This test measures the levels of cardiac biomarkers in your blood. Some of these markers increase after you've had a heart attack.

Carcinoembryonic Antigen

This test measures a protein called carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) in your blood. This protein is present on some types of cancer cells.

Carbon Dioxide (Blood)

This test measures the amount of carbon dioxide in your blood. Normally, carbon dioxide in your bloodstream causes no problems, but if you have far too much or too little of it, you may have a disease or a medical emergency.
