As the only children’s hospital in Central Massachusetts, we are dedicated to the health of the children and families we serve. Our Distinctions

• Level 1 emergency: Our Pediatric Emergency Department offers the highest level of trauma care available. Our emergency specialists care for babies, children and adolescents 24/7.
• Level III NICU: Our state-of-the-art Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) provides the full range of care for preemies and newborns. The Level III distinction means we care for babies with the most critical needs, including respiratory support, surgery and complex congenital conditions.
• Specialized Programs: We offer dedicated programs for children with specific conditions and complex needs. Ours is the only American Diabetes Association-approved program for children in Central Massachusetts. We also offer a nationally recognized Cystic Fibrosis Center, caring for more children than any other center in the area.
• Groundbreaking research: Our physicians are at the forefront of research, studying new tests and treatments for childhood diseases. As a top academic medical center, we provide many new, groundbreaking therapies before they’re widely available.
