Pastoral care at UMass Memorial Medical Center is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to provide spiritual support to patients, their families and their friends. Board-certified chaplains are trained and experienced in providing comfort as well as religious or emotional care as part of the healing process.

Patients and visitors are encouraged to wear masks, particularly if they have symptoms of respiratory illness and when they are visiting an admitted patient with a respiratory illness. At caregiver discretion, patients and visitors may be asked to wear a mask. If they do not comply with masking when asked to do so, they may be asked to leave.
